Click to enlargePyro Shield offers a truly unique line of high-temperature fabrics which are offered in custom fabricated or roll-goods form for your special needs. We are the first, and only, to have developed a patented technology that allows us to weave virtually any material into fabrics up to 2" (50mm) thick. We can even cross-blend materials so that your fabric has the exact properties you desire. For example, one customer needed the strength of Kevlar and the insulating properties of silica. We wove these materials together to the customer's specifications to meet their exact needs! We currently produce multi-layer silica fabric that has unsurpassed insulating properties. Imagine taking an insulating fabric and dipping it in liquid nitrogen and then placing it in a 2,500 ºF oven! Our fabric can insulate effectively in these environments without losing thermal conductivity over time. Again, this material is woven to your exact needs-from 1.6mm to 50mm for use as welding blankets, insulating materials, furnace curtains and an unlimited number of other applications.
